In my safe European country without any persecution issues, KH Doors are normally locked during meetings for as long as I can remember.
John 20:19 is used as the basis for this.

well, well, that was quite a heartfelt welcome on this site four days ago.
thank you all for the encouraging replies.
one of them was this one from magnum: "hey now, don't just pop your head in and disappear.
Yup, the dissenting stories flow once they feel it's safe.
For some of my friends I'm still wondering why the hell they are still in.
They agree it's a failing Borg, shit everywhere, with no evidence for a God, and the Bible is a erroneous human book.....but it's still the truth.... WTF?
Thanks for sharing :-)
given recent posts on the forum and discussion, maybe we could play this game: would i lie to you?
in the uk we have this tv programme where minor celebrities tell weird or embarrassing stories about themselves and the rest of the participants have to guess if it is a true story or made up.
when the others have voted then the person reveals if the story is true or false.
Listener,
I'll comment after I have doen my next Would I Lie To You....
i've studied and observed several lottery patterns.
this one is now gone so nothing lost by revealing it.
i had a certain history search and noticed that almost each week the past few months a list of numbers not used recently were being used 1 per week.
EOM,
So, you picked those numbers right once?
You know that happens a lot actually? Lotteries tend to be won by someone who guessed the correct numbers once ;-)
Anyway, just pick them correct 20 times in a row, and you might be on to something.

For my stories, everybody wins. They are both true.
Why not one lie?
I don't play the game by their rules anymore ;-)
Also I couldn't think of a lie.
And yes, I was ashamed of taken the WWW donation money. I was like 14 at the time. It was a really small amount, and I added it to my regular donations years later. Looking back, I should have kept all of it :-p
I'll add more stories later....

Unnecessary elaboration. The more someone embroiders a story, adding unnecessary details and irrelevant information, the greater the chance he or she is making it up.
I always thought liars added more details than necessary... (This is not a clue either way BTW)
so i was just reading a thread and came across a completely new jw 'rule', that of not being allowed to go fishing!..
at least it's new to me as i always enjoyed fishing as did others in my old congregation.
anyone else heard of this or had this imposed on them in they're jw lives?.
The 3 activities mentioned involve
Now I will never be able to talk about golf or fishing in a decent way :-p

Okay I'll bite with some less embarrassing stories:
